Season 2 opens with Candy Mossler finding her multi-millionaire husband, Jacques, stabbed to death in their apartment, the revered Dr. Leroy Adams being shot in his office, Kitty Genovese being raped and stabbed to death outside her apartment building as her neighbors watch and do nothing, etc.
