Movie plot

It was a much more serious movie than I expected. There are some comedic twists but for the most part everything is kept straight and the romance between vampires and humans is the main focus of the film. It's still not quite the movie it sometimes refers to (Twilight) but it's probably closer to the genre.Real-life vampire Sarah is about to have a test, which turns out to be bad for her and her vampire friends. At least when it comes to money, it helps her in a different way when she meets IRS agent James and the two fall in love. There really aren't too many surprises with Bite Me and that's really typical of most romantic comedies. You know where it's headed, you probably know how it's going to end, and you just want to enjoy the journey there. And I did most of it with Bite Me. Naomi McDougall Jones is a great choice to play the lead role, Sarah. The role isn't really 'vampire', not that kind of movie, the characters are real and Jones is super likable. Everything she does also feels very natural. I can see her moving towards bigger things. As her lover, Christian Coulson as James is also very likable. And in a very romantic comedy, they make a great couple and you want to see them together. And to be fair, the filmmakers did a good job of not making it sickly too sweet.Horror movie fans will enjoy that Naomi Grossman, who is famous in American Horror Story, also has a major role to play. Unfortunately, as much as she plays that part, I don't like the character at all. She was supposed to be a bit annoying but it went too far for me.If marketed to the right people, Bite Me will surely find its audience. But I don't think the audience will be horror fans. This isn't going to be some cult classic in the genre. This will be loved by more romantic comedy fans. I understand the idea of the story is about being yourself and loving who you are, whatever that may be, but in reality the characters don't have to be vampires. Trade them in for something less horror and you've got essentially the same movie.I've never gotten bored of Bite Me, it runs at a smooth 80 minutes but it's too formulaic and predictable for my liking. Two people, an unlikely couple, fall in love, they encounter some bumps in the road, some ups and downs, and in the end they will be together forever. You know the score. I would stick with the original and much more twisted horror versions of the rom-com. When Sarah, a real-life vampire, gets audited, the last thing she expects is a date. But an unlikely spark with IRS agent, James, forces two misfits to confront whether they have the courage to commit the radical act of falling in love.
