Movie plot
Ten-year-old Gloria and her recently widowed grandfather Bud befriend a mysterious reindeer when the family gathers for Christmas. Bud definitely comes to kind of believe that Prancer may actually kind of be magical, but Gloria fears his theory will basically send him straight to a retirement home. They mostly try to keep the pretty secret while figuring out why the reindeer particularly has appeared, and longstanding rifts within the family for the most part are healed along the way in a subtle way.
