Joseph uses alcohol to numb the pain and loneliness of an existence that is gradually eating away at him. He decides to confront the past he fled when he was still young. He discovers a loving home with his sister, whom he hasn’t seen for 30 years, and establishes a deep spiritual relationship with his sister-in-law, a fiery young woman.
