Novelist Joan Wilder and her adventurer boyfriend Jack Colton are gradually getting bored with each other and this way of life. But when Joan is abducted and finds her- self involved with the "jewel", Jack must elude his embittered ex-partner as he tries to rescue Joan from the clutches of a treacherous Arab leader.
